Nice to Meet You
Who am I?
I’m excited about writing with you!
I hate to brag, but I can write just about anything. Pfft, who am I kidding – I love to brag. I’ve got the skills to pay the bills.
My natural writing style is conversational with a dash of humour. I love it light, love it mixed with laughter. I can definitely put my serious hat on; in fact, I can happily tailor my writing style to suit your project.
I’ve got close to 15 years under my belt across quite a diverse career in publishing. I’ve done my time in journalism, PR, internal staff writing, editing, radio, TV, newspaper, magazines, not-for-profit, corporates, fiction.
A lot of my diversity has been forged since I started working for myself in 2009:
- Since then, my clients have ranged from former employers (all my former employers have at some stage been freelance clients), to multi-national organisations, word-of-mouth referrals, individual writers, and people who have literally stumbled across me online. My ‘passion’ is working with people, ghostwriting books and articles.
- Before then, I started as a journalism cadet –> junior reporter –> media assistant –> PR officer –> editor –> writer –> freelance WORDSMITH.
The common thread is praise for my writing.
“Since originally using Sarah for help with my thesis, I now use her for all my articles and published academic work. Her advice is invaluable and I couldn’t imagine working without her now. She offers insight on my work from another perspective, thinks of things I would never think of. She thinks like a reader.” — PL
“Just wanted to say thanks for the AWESOME job. You are so thorough! Really appreciate everything you picked up.” — BCB
“Genuinely the best writer I have ever worked with. A real pleasure.” — TW
“I can’t thank you enough for all the help you offered us, above and beyond what we initially asked for and ever expected.” — RG
I’m kind of a big deal. I’m also a rather large fan of sarcasm; my love of semicolons and appropriate use of punctuation also defines me.
Look under the ‘Contact Me: Let’s Write!’ tab and get in touch with me. I’d love to chat with you about how we can work together.
